
(FREE Family Event!) USA Swimming Aqua Zone 2012 Fan
Experience at the Century Link Center This summer, swimming
fans can explore, experience and share the sport of swimming like never before
in the USA Swimming Aqua Zone fan experience area outside the U.S. Olympic Team
Trials – Swimming at the Century Link Center June 24-July 2.
The free
event features 100,000 square feet of fun for fans of all ages, including
Olympic athlete autograph sessions, the chance to ride a mechanical shark,
opportunities to “race” Olympians in simulated swim challenges and Olympic medal
displays dating from the first Olympic Games in 1904. Adventurous fans can even
bring their swim suit and get wet in an exclusive Michael Phelps
challenge.
There are more than 40 Olympic athletes and legends scheduled
to sign autographs and take photos with the fans including Rowdy Gaines, Pablo
Morales, Gary Hall, Jr., Debbie Meyer, Misty Hyman, Kaitlin Sandeno, Summer
Sanders, Aaron Peirsol, John Naber, Donna de Varona and more!
Fans will
also be able to share their experience with friends with the Visa Aqua Badge.
This digitally-enhanced credential will allow fans to post photos and activities
of the Aqua Zone experience on their Facebook. Fans can pre-register for the

The Aqua Zone
is free & open to the public and located in the CenturyLink Center Omaha
convention center, which is adjacent to the competition arena, on the following
schedule:
- Sunday, June 24, 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
- Monday, June 25-July 2, 11 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
USA Swimming will
officially open the Aqua Zone on Sunday, June 24th at noon with a “laneline
cutting” by 3-time Olympic gold medalist and NBC commentator Rowdy
Gaines.
