The August Kid's Club Event will feature: Science in Action: Weather

Membership is FREE and you'll receive a FREE bouncy ball from Old Navy for each child you enroll in the Kid's Club. As a member, kids also receive a birthday gift; a FREE Child Admission Pass to Rave Motion Pictures, to help celebrate their special day. Birthday gifts are available while supplies last and can be picked up at the next Kid's Club event during your child's birthday month.

Free Music In The Park

Enjoy the melodic sounds of summer in a beautiful and tranquil setting! Free concerts will be held every Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm from May 30th to August 1st. A complete listing of musicians will be available in May.

Free Movies In The Park

Movies will be shown every Friday night starting after dusk (around 9 pm) from June 1st through August 3rd. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, snacks and enjoy the movie with family & friends! All movies are rated G or PG. In case of inclement weather, movies will be shown the following Saturday evening.

Concessions are available in the park for all Music and Movies showtimes!

The Omaha Police Department will host the 60th Annual Kindergarten Traffic Training at Westroads Mall this summer.

Children will be formed into small groups. Each group will move through training stages escorted by uniformed police officers and firefighters. Training will last approximately 45 minutes, with new groups starting every 10-15 minutes. Once a group has completed all of the training stages, the children may leave with their parent/guardian.

Registration will take place between 10am & 2pm

The training is provided at no cost to participants. All parents having children entering elementary school for the first time are urged to participate, and each child that completes Kindergarten Traffic Training will receive a FREE admission pass to Rave Cinemas - Westroads 14 + D-Box! (FREE Family Event!) USA Swimming Aqua Zone 2012 Fan Experience at the Century Link Center

This summer, swimming fans can explore, experience and share the sport of swimming like never before in the USA Swimming Aqua Zone fan experience area outside the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming at the Century Link Center June 24-July 2.

The free event features 100,000 square feet of fun for fans of all ages, including Olympic athlete autograph sessions, the chance to ride a mechanical shark, opportunities to “race” Olympians in simulated swim challenges and Olympic medal displays dating from the first Olympic Games in 1904. Adventurous fans can even bring their swim suit and get wet in an exclusive Michael Phelps challenge.

There are more than 40 Olympic athletes and legends scheduled to sign autographs and take photos with the fans including Rowdy Gaines, Pablo Morales, Gary Hall, Jr., Debbie Meyer, Misty Hyman, Kaitlin Sandeno, Summer Sanders, Aaron Peirsol, John Naber, Donna de Varona and more!

Fans will also be able to share their experience with friends with the Visa Aqua Badge. This digitally-enhanced credential will allow fans to post photos and activities of the Aqua Zone experience on their Facebook. Fans can pre-register for the Visa Aqua Badge here.



The Aqua Zone is free & open to the public and located in the CenturyLink Center Omaha convention center, which is adjacent to the competition arena, on the following schedule:

• Sunday, June 24, 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
• Monday, June 25-July 2, 11 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

USA Swimming will officially open the Aqua Zone on Sunday, June 24th at noon with a “laneline cutting” by 3-time Olympic gold medalist and NBC commentator Rowdy Gaines.

The City of Papillion offers summer concerts in the park all throughout the summer months. These concerts are co-sponsored by the Papillion Recreation Department, the Music Performance Trust Fund and U.S. Recording Companies, who fund in whole or in part the instrumental music for these performances, as arranged by the Omaha Musicians Association, Local 70-558, American Federation of Musicians. New - All concerts will now be held on Wednesday nights at City Park and are now apart of the Papillion Market Faire, "Farmer's Market, Music and More".
